Much more than just giant planter boxes.
Koher had the special responsibility of manufacturing the planter boxes for the new extension of Hamad International Airport in Doha. In despite their simple appearance, the production proved to be quite challenging at every stage, from design, planimetry, to production and logistics.
The planter boxes were constructed with a stainless steel skeleton, covered by a second metal skeleton and a solid iroko wood exoskeleton and then topped with Krion solid surface. To add to their functionality, one of the models was equipped with the final ventilation system of the airport, effectively transforming them into air conditioning machines.
This project is a true task testament to exceptional design and quality, leaving no traveller landing in Doha indifferent.
